Barriga
Sara Barriga holds a Degree in Fine Arts / Sculpture (Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon), a Masters in Visual Arts (Brussels), a Post-Graduate Degree in Museology and Patrimony (Lisbon) and works as a teacher in the area of Visual Arts.
Since 2010 she has been the Main Coordinator of the Education Service at Paula Rego House of Histories (Lisbon), being co-responsible by the program of activities and events promoted by this service.
As a consulter she has conceived and coordinated several projects concerning education programs for several entities such as the Viriato Theater, the Ministry of Education, among other cultural Institutions. She collaborates regularly with the Painting Gallery Rei D. Luís I, the Institute of Museums and Conservation, the Modern Art Centre from the Gulbenkian Foundation, the DGARTES – INOV Art Program, and the Unesco Club for Artistic Education.
She has been the author of several publication in the area of non-formal artistic education and responsible for the production of documents of didactic support to artistic projects.
Together with Rita Canavarro she presides the Association i.Muse – Education and Mediation in Culture.
